Draw the kitchen dimensions and complete the specification sheet. Photograph the pages and take room images if necessary.

Submit everything via the KBB Mobile App or Trade Partner website.

Select "Design Service" from the menu, fill out the form, and attach the images.

When you send in a new design, a WhatsApp Group will open with you and our design team. When you receive the quote and design, carefully review them and use the WhatsApp group to discuss them.

TO SET UP YOUR PLANNER:

Create your login for the planner, go to https://floorplancreator.net/

This is a third party software and the subscription is less than £10 a month.

Upload the KITCHEN template on this page into your 2D planner; you only need to do this once. Clone the template at each survey. If you accidentally overwrite it, come back here and upload it again.

THE PERFECT SURVEY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Use the 2D planner to plan your room and ensure the correct windows, doors, and ceiling heights.

TO ADD/EDIT TEXT IN A TEXT BOX - Highlight the box (click on it) and press "TEXT" in the left-hand menu.

2. Fill in ALL boxes and complete the plan as per the instructions on the planner and in this video. Missed details will slow down your design process, sometimes by days.

3. Take pictures of the room & include them with your design submission

4. Delete items no longer needed on the plan and keep it tidy & clear; save it as you go...

Before You Download Your Plan...

1. When your plan is ready, Click "Measure All Walls " on the right-hand menu. This will add the measurements inside the room so all dimensions are precise. If you add these measurements and then move the walls, you will need to delete the measurements in the room and do this again.

Then...

2. Download this plan as a JPG image - Inside the plan, click share on the left menu, select JPG, and attach it with your room images in the design submission form.

3. Send the share link to this plan with your design submission. Go back to the menu where you can see all your plans, and click on the three lines for this plan:

• Click edit sharing
• Copy the link
• Click share
• (IN THIS ORDER)
• Then, paste the link into your design submission form... See below

4. Head to the Trade Partners Website and select "Design Service" in the menu or use the link below:

• Open the design request form
• Click to confirm you are an Academy member
• Click to confirm you have used the 2D planner.
• Fill in the first page details, confirming what you need us to quote.
• On the 2nd page, add your 2D plan image download & share the link
• Press submit

Once you have done your initial survey & quote and been back to see the customer for a "design session"...

STEP 1 - Editing the plan - When at your design session, edit the same plan. The share link we already have will still work.

STEP 2—Adding notes—Add comments to the "AMENDMENTS NOTES" box and annotations to the plan if necessary. Just make it clear!

The designers will compare the original 2D plan image you sent to your amendments and notes on the updated plan. This will give a clear picture of the changes between the first quote and your amendments.

STEP 3 - Requesting Amendments - Use the app or trade partner website as usual.

1. Once your design is received, we will open a WhatsApp group with you and the KBB teams so all future communications are handled here
2. Your quote & plans will land in the WhatsApp group
3. After your initial quote & design have been accepted by the customer and you return to finalise things in the "design session", use the same form you requested for your design; this time, in the drop-down box, select "amendment" and complete the form. Do not do this bit in the Whats App group. Use the button below
4. The team will drop your amends into the group
5. When you have sold the job and the design & quote are 100%, accept the order on this link https://kbbsupplyservices.fillout.com/QuoteAccepted
6. A Payment link will be posted in the WhatsApp group.
7. If you do not win the sale - confirm this and offer feedback for us to all learn from; in this instance, the WhatsApp group will close.
